Our Clinics Will Soon Be Open to Ages 12-15 (but not yet!)

The FDA authorized the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 12-15 on Monday, May 10, 2021.

The CDC will meet on Wednesday to review the data and make its recommendations.

We have been eagerly waiting for children ages 12-15 to become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, and we are happy that today’s news brings us one step closer!

Our clinic pharmacists are not yet permitted to provide vaccinations for anybody under the age of 16.

We anticipate that we will be able to open our Pfizer clinics to everybody aged 12 and up very soon, pending the CDC’s endorsement and the approval of Walgreens, our third-party immunizer.

If you have already signed up a 12-15 year-old individual for a clinic on:

  • Tuesday, May 11 or Wednesday, May 12, we ask that you please cancel that appointment to allow someone else the opportunity to get their shot and to avoid vaccine waste.

If you have already signed up a 12-15 year-old individual for a clinic on:

  • Thursday, May 13 or Friday, May 14, you do not need to cancel that appointment at this time, but please be aware that an appointment is not a guarantee that your child will be vaccinated if they do not meet the minimum age requirement at the time of their appointment.

When we officially open the clinics to children ages 12-15, we will make that announcement here on our website, on our FB page, and on each clinic’s appointment sign-up page.
